Choose between a Stretched Canvas or a Canvas Panel.
The benefit of a stretched canvas is the portrait can be hung without a frame if desired.
A flat panel would need mounting and framing.
Acrylic commissions are done on quality stretched cotton canvas deep panels or boards (please specify choice) and are unframed. The prices quoted are for one subject head and shoulders on a diffused colour background. If you require full-body, detailed backgrounds or larger canvas sizes, I am happy to discuss and provide you with the cost.
For guide purposes, the canvas size has been compared to similar paper size.
8” x 10” (A4) £200 (for each additional subject add £50)
12”x 16” (A3) £300 (for each additional subject add £60)
16” x 20” (A2) £400 (for each additional subject add £70)
- High resolution clear in focus photos
- Take in natural daylight if possible, to avoid red-eye and distortion of coat colour
- Do not crop the photo
- Make sure the eyes are clearly visible – these bring the portrait to life
- Avoid zooming this will pixelate
- If using a phone or camera – no filters applied that will affect the natural colours.
- Separate photographs for more than one subject is fine
Why is all of this important?
The quality and clarity of reference photos is the most important aspect of pet portraiture.
If you are unsure of what image to go for please do not worry, send me over your favourites and then we can discuss what image will translate best onto canvas.

Watercolour commissions are painted on 300gsm, acid-free, watercolour paper and are supplied with a white mount unframed.
6 x 8" in a 8 x 10" mount - £115 (single subject)
8 x 11" in a 12 x 16" mount - £150 (single subject)
8 x 11" in a 12 x 16" mount - £225 (for two subjects)
11 x 16" in a 16 x 20" mount - £200 (single subject)
11 x 16" in a 16 x 20" mount - £275 (for two subjects)
Other custom size options are available, please email me to enquire.
I seal my watercolour commissions with wax when complete, but do recommend you get it framed behind glass, this will protect the colour from fading over time.
Digital portraits are very overlooked but the possibilities are endless! Once your commission is complete you get sent the digital copy via email, from there you can get your art printed on anything and everything! Mugs, coasters, phone cases & cushions ... just to name a few!
My digital artwork always has that painted style/look, I also include 2 rounds of amends if you want me to tweak the artwork before the final sign off.
Prices start from £150.
